CBD and Depression: It seems to help
One of the most debilitating symptoms many people suffer from in our modern world is depression. Not just feeling down or melancholy about a particular situation or memory, but a real, all-encompassing feeling of depression and dread that many who suffer from it liken it to being in total darkness, alone, and with no hope. Depression affects people of all walks of life, races, and ages, and it is said that the USA consumes almost 75% of the world’s anti-depression drugs. So, this is not just a small problem in our society, it is an epidemic, and for those who suffer from depression, it is a condition that very often seems to have no cure.
Depression in individuals can lead to ruined lives, broken marriages, destroyed careers, financial ruin, and in some extreme cases even death. Severe depression is a serious condition, and society struggles with how best to treat it. Counseling and anti-depressant drugs are commonly used, but counseling can be expensive and antidepressants can have serious side effects that in some cases are just as bad, if not worse, for people than the depression itself.
But, what if there were a new, all natural, holistic approach that can help with depression, with no adverse side effects but also has additional potential health benefits when used? If you or someone you know suffers from depression, wouldn’t it be great if there was something that could help but not have any of the negative side effects so many people experience from antidepressant drugs?
CBD Oil and Depression
CBD is short for Cannabidiol, and it is one of over 80 cannabinoids found in the Cannabis plant. CBD Oil, through its anti-anxiety properties and its interaction with the human endocannabinoid system (ECS), is being shown to supplement the ECS’s receptors throughout the body and give the ECS the boost it needs to help deal with anxiety and depression, and give the body a feeling of overall calmness. For many, because CBD helps reduce anxiety, they also find that symptoms of depression are decreased as well, and in some cases almost eliminated. This is very important for people who suffer from depression, and it is being called the new miracle oil, for this reason, and others.
CBD can be taken as often as you like, with or without food and drink, and can even be taken with most other medications as there are no widely-known negative drug interactions associated with CBD Oil. It is also very easy to take, and most people find that one or two doses, or more as needed, could help reduce the incidents of anxiety and help with PTSD. Also, because it is derived from the hemp plant, it is entirely natural, you can usually take as much as you need to get the desired results you are looking for.
